This Privacy Policy describes how IPPrep Pro ("IPPrep Pro," "we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, and discloses information about you when you use our website at ipprep.pro, our web application at app.ipprep.pro, and related services (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide

  • Account information. When you request or create an account, we (through our authentication provider, Clerk) collect your name and email address, and the authentication credentials you set up.
  • Contact information. If you fill in a form on our website or email us, we receive your name, email, firm name, and the contents of your message.
  • Case data you enter. To prepare filings, you enter application details such as application and docket numbers, inventor and applicant names and addresses, priority information, and reference lists. You control what you enter.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage data. Basic information about how the Service is used, such as pages and features accessed and general activity, to operate and improve the Service.
  • Device and log data. IP address, browser type, and similar technical information generated when you use the Service.

2. How We Use It

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and maintain your account and authenticate your identity.
  • Prepare the documents you request and provide the Service's features.
  • Look up patent information you request from the USPTO and EPO data services.
  • Respond to your messages and provide support.
  • Monitor, secure, and improve the Service and diagnose problems.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers, and we do not use your case data to train third-party AI models.

3. Your Case Data & Generated Files

The documents IPPrep Pro generates are downloaded to your own computer. Copies produced on our servers during generation are temporary and are cleared when the server session ends or is redeployed. Saved templates, signer details, and sessions that you choose to save are stored in our database (Supabase) so you can reload them.

You remain responsible for the filings you produce and for reviewing them before submitting anything to the USPTO. IPPrep Pro does not file on your behalf.

4. Sharing & Disclosure

We share information only in these circumstances:

Service providers

We use trusted third parties to operate the Service under agreements that restrict their use of your data. These currently include:

  • Clerk — account authentication and sign-in.
  • Supabase — database hosting for saved templates, signers, and sessions.
  • Render — application hosting.
  • Netlify — website hosting and contact-form handling.
  • Stripe — payment processing, if and when paid plans are enabled. Card details are handled by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers.
  • USPTO Open Data Portal and the EPO Open Patent Services — to retrieve the patent data you request. We send the application or publication numbers you enter; we do not send your account details.

Legal requirements

We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government request, or where we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights or the safety of others.

Business transfers

If IPPrep Pro is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.

Aggregated or de-identified data

We may share aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you.

5. Cookies & Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to sign you in and keep your session active, and to remember your preferences. We do not set third-party advertising cookies. You can configure your browser to refuse cookies, but the Service may not function properly without the essential ones.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account and saved data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you close your account, we delete your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it by law. Temporary generated files are not retained after the server session ends.

7. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email us at amir@ipprep.pro. We do not sell personal information.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), authentication handled by Clerk, and database access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for professional use by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. International Transfers

IPPrep Pro is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., your information may be transferred to and processed in the U.S. or other countries where our service providers operate, which may have different data protection laws than your own.

11. Third-Party Services

The Service links to and retrieves data from third-party sites and services, including the USPTO (including Patent Center and the Open Data Portal) and the EPO. This Policy does not apply to those third parties; please review their own privacy policies.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
